We call this fruity hot sauce "fire in a bottle". It is a wonderful blend of sweet fruit and fiery habanero peppers, both hot and slightly sweet. The sauce may be kept in the refrigerator at least 1-2 months. Goes well with chicken, pork or fish.
If you have the ingredients to make a large batch, just double or triple the recipe ingredients except for the water. Use about 3 cups of water to make a double batch.
NOTE: If you are unfamiliar with habanero peppers...they are very HOT! The hottest habanero would be about 140 times hotter than the jalapeno pepper. Therefore, when cooking or processing any spicy peppers (especially those as fiery as habaneros), you should wear gloves and avoid touching your face, especially the eyes. Also, avoid breathing fumes of peppers when cooking, cutting or processing in a blender or food processor.
