Marinara Sauce Recipe




Ingredients
* 24 oz tomato sauce
* 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
* 5 cloves garlic, finely chopped
* 1/4 cup shredded fresh basil (or 2 tablespoons dried ground basil)
* 1 tablespoon dried ground oregano
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper

Directions
1. Warm oil in large sauce pan over medium heat. Lightly brown garlic in oil (do not over cook garlic).
2. Add the tomato sauce and simmer on medium heat for 20 minutes.
3. Add remaining ingredients and simmer another 5 minutes.
4. Let stand 5 minutes before use.
