Menu Idea -Southern Fish Fry Dinner



This page is intended to show what dishes commonly go together to make a traditional Southern Fish Fry dinner.

Ah, an old fashioned Southern Fish Fry...it doesn't get much better than this. Our menu includes traditional side dishes; cole slaw, hushpuppies, iced tea and pecan pie. The catfish may be substituted with any firm fish. Soft, flaky type fish does not develop a good crust when fried. You can make the cole slaw ahead, even the day before, since it's flavor only improves after sitting. Be sure to prepare the hushpuppies last since they get cold very fast and should be served steaming hot.

An easy way to copy all the recipes below is to:
1. Open Notepad or any word processor on your computer, then minimize it to the bottom of your screen.
2. Click on the link to the first recipe below (Fried Catfish)
3. Copy and paste the recipe into Notepad (or whatever word processor you opened)
4. Click on the "Back Arrow" at the top of your browser to return to this Menu page.
5. Repeat the procedure for each of the recipes in the menu.
6. Then print out all the recipes from Notepad.
