Barbecue Chicken Recipe
There are two popular ways to BBQ chicken...or any other meat for that matter. You can BBQ the meat (chicken, fish) then put sauce on it. Or you can put sauce on first, then BBQ the meat. Directions for both methods are provided below.
Ingredients
1 whole chicken (or you may use your favorite chicken parts, i.e. all legs, all breast, etc.)BBQ SAUCE Ingredients:
1-1/2 sticks butter
1/4 cup vinegar
1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup Worchestire sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
crushed red pepper, to taste
cayenne pepper, to taste
Directions - Sauce Applied After
1. Melt all sauce ingredients together on low heat- DO NOT BOIL. Set aside.2. Cook chicken on grill or in oven. When done pull off skin and remove meat from bone.
3 Chop up like you would pork BBQ.
4. Pour melted sauce over chicken and serve hot
Directions - Sauce Applied Before
1. Prepare sauce as above.2. Brush sauce on chicken before grilling. Baste with sauce frequently while cooking.
3. Serve whole pieces with additional sauce on the side, instead of chopping as above.
