Sorghum Baked Beans Recipe
Baked beans go well with most any meat. They are economical and healthy. You might jazz up this baked beans recipe by adding a few drops of your favorite hot sauce. Or make your own hot sauce with our Hot Sauce recipe.
Ingredients
* 2 cups cooked beans (kidney, red beans, pinto or whatever you have)* 5 slices bacon
* 1 onion, coursely chopped
* 3 tablespoons catsup
* 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
* 1/4 cup water
* 1/2 cup sorghum molasses
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.2. Fry the bacon until done, but not crisp. Cut each into 2 inch pieces.
3. Combine bacon with all remaining ingredients in an oven-safe medium casserole dish. Stir well.
4. Cover and bake for twenty minutes.
5. Reduce heat to 250 degrees F, and continue to cook for two hours.
